On Corruption

Corruption is one of the most famous themes around which there exists widespread public consciousness in India, especially in Tamilnadu. One cannot blame only the political and bureaucratic class of corruption in this neoliberal globalized capitalist world, which has made people to believe that they can survive only by constantly acquiring and accumulating money. It has become a global phenomena that pursuit of money being the only noble cause for which the entire humanity should work towards. For example doctors are establishing multi-million worth health businesses catering only to those who can give them in lakhs and crores.

The brainpower of the entire country (technocrats) is being made to work for the high technology corporate to serve the global market of few elites who can afford such high technology, rather than solving the survival problems of crores of people living around them. Even the spiritual gurus are establishing meditation and yoga businesses to cater to these needs of foreign elites who could afford their high consultation charges. In this situation, when everyone of us are running behind money and are fixing the worth of human being based on his bank deposits, how can we expect politicians and bureaucrats alone to work for the sake of nation or morality or whatsoever you call.

when we do not want to wait, we bribe. starting with giving 500 for a driving license to giving few 100's more for a special darshan in tirupati as just becoming a common phenomena which we are not even guilty of. The reason is now we dont feel that even bribing god is not a sin if it makes it happen fast. Without realising wat we actually do to ppl who do not have money to bribe. Its a sad and ugly truth to realise nowadays that law is there only for people who cant afford to since people who have money do not have any abiding laws or rules which can be bent by them the way they want that to.

Are GOVT employees getting less salary than others?

Is it ECO that makes people to move towards corruption?

There are lot of questions arising inside me...
